Apathy and defeatism have no place in the Australian firearm community

fouadmin April 29, 2019 Opinion Piece 4 Comments

Over the last few weeks, and indeed the last 23 years, we’ve seen another wave of negativity about firearms – nothing is new there. However, we received a little anecdote of interest that was sent to us by one of our members, about a conversation he

Jackboot Jacinda’s gun grab is giving the Christchurch gunman everything he wanted

fouadmin March 23, 2019 Christchurch, Jacinda Ardern, Opinion Piece 3 Comments

It really is a scene out of 1984, let alone 1996, in New Zealand at the moment. A week following the horrible events of Christchurch, we have seen the jackboot of Jacinda Ardern come down hard on the citizens of NZ. Aside from the attempted gun

Note to NZ gun owners: Don’t sell each other out to protect yourselves

fouadmin March 19, 2019 Christchurch, New Zealand, News, Opinion Piece 2 Comments

1996 all over again. Have to disagree with this choice of words from the NZ Deerstalkers: “The NZ Deerstalkers’ Association mourns with the country and the families affected by the terrorist act in Christchurch. We abhor the perpetrators action’s that promoted division and hate. New Zealanders pride

Some unlikely good news on the self-defence front this week out of NSW regarding a home invasion: “A home intruder has died after an altercation with a resident at a house in Sydney’s south-west. Around 7.30am on Sunday the 44-year-old father of the home on Westwood

fouadmin November 10, 2018 Bourke Street, Opinion Piece, Self Defence, Victoria, Victoria Police 1 Comment

After the incident in Bourke street, the usual hero narrative has emerged and praise has been bestowed on an individual named Trolleyman: “Police have confirmed they have spoken to the man with a shopping trolley who rushed forward to subdue a knife-wielding attacker in Melbourne. Police

Disgraceful: NSWFAR deflects mistake onto gun owning dads

fouadmin July 16, 2018 AMA, NSW Police, NSWFAR, Opinion Piece 1 Comment

In the wake of the Sydney double shooting which claimed the lives of two teenage children, there has been a new wave of unnecessary cheerleading for more gun control. This latest hysteria, led by both the Fairfax and Newscorp commentariat, is arguing for such measures as

fouadmin July 06, 2018 New Zealand, News, Opinion Piece, Toy Guns 2 Comments

Just when you thought bansturbation in this country over firearms couldn’t get any worse, here comes this: Not at all surprising from a country that bans Airsoft and classifies Paintball Markers as firearms. This draws parallels to the pearl-clutching Helen Lovejoy in Brisbane who complained about

Firearm Owners United

Firearm Owners United was founded in response to the many hysterical voices crying out for further gun control in this country. We already go through so many hoops to get our firearms as it is. We do not need more hoops. We don’t need a mother/father figure deciding what’s the best for us. We are Law Abiding Firearm Owners, and we are sick of being treated like second-class citizens.
