Neil Mitchell, the profoundly anti-gun radio irrelevancy and Alannah and Madeline Foundation Board member, has come out today with a public tantrum over the SSAA beating him to the punch on disclosing the SSAA Mildura branch’s President and his perpetration of a recent double murder in Victoria’s North.
Robbed of his opportunity to be the first to metaphorically dance on some fresh graves, Neil instead has come out attacking the SSAA for making the public release. No doubt though had they not made such a release, Neil and others in the anti-gun camp would have gleefully made such an announcement and accused the SSAA of a coverup. Damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
From the 3AW website :
Neil Mitchell has accused the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia of “politicising” the alleged double murder of a mother and son on Tuesday. While the association made mention of the tragic loss throughout the statement, there was one line that got Neil Mitchell offside.
“We do not want to allow anti-gun groups and the media to control the narrative that will come from this tragedy, which is why we’ve chosen to communicate in this way,” it read.
Neil Mitchell said it was in poor taste and hypocritical.
