For those who were unaware the Queensland Labor government is holding a review of the Animal Care and Protection Act, submission son which close at midnight tonight . The objectives of this review seem to be fairly vague, with the only directions given being a discussion paper you can read here. If you want to make a submission you have the option of sending an email to ACPAreview@daf.qld.gov.au or filling in the survey available here.
We have made a formal submission on the matter that you can read here.
We believe that whilst this review does not seem to be targeted towards the hunting community, we have significant concerns that it could be hijacked and used to inflict significant harm towards hunting and agriculture more generally.
