Labor and Liberal team up to keep Australian women defenceless against violent predators

fouadmin June 28, 2018 David Leyonhjelm, Fraser Anning, Katter's Australia Party, News, Self Defence, Senate 1 Comment

If you’re still voting Labor or Liberal then ask yourself: how much do you really hate Australia? Katter’s Australia Party Senator Fraser Anning introduced a motion to allow Australian citizens to carry non-lethal items for self-defence:

“A Queensland senator wants to arm Australian women with tasers, pepper spray and mace to defend themselves against would-be rapists and murderers.

Katter’s Australia Party senator Fraser Anning moved a motion in the Senate on Thursday calling on the government to relax import laws for the weapons in response to horrific crimes against women. He wants state governments to legalise and promote the carrying of pepper spray, mace and tasers by women for “political protection”.

Greens senator Janet Rice slammed Senator Anning’s “blundering, ill-conceived” motion. “The last thing that women in Australia need now is another man in power telling us that we are responsible for violence against us,” Senator Rice told parliament.

She said he was putting the onus on women to go to extreme lengths to combat violence rather than addressing men’s crimes. Violent offences against women have shocked Australia in recent years, headlined by the recent rape and murder of Melbourne comedian Eurydice Dixon.

Senator Anning believes the weapons will give women security and confidence so they will not become another assault, rape or murder statistic. Government minister James McGrath said the government had no plans to relax weapons importation laws, while the opposition also opposed the idea.

“It is ludicrous to suggest that more weapons will make women safer,” Labor’s Anthony Chisholm said.

The motion was defeated 46-5, with Senator Anning, One Nation’s Peter Georgiou and conservative independents Cory Bernardi, David Leyonhjelm and Brian Burston the only supporters.

Kudos to Senator Anning and the rest who voted in favour of common sense and the right to preserve one’s life.

If weapons don’t keep women safe, Anthony Chisholm, then why do female Police officers carry them? Of course, he’d prefer the Labor nu-male method of motherhood statements, virtue signalling and collectivist blame rather than actual practical solutions.

Janet Rice is an absolute plonker but she’s a Greens Senator from Melbourne, so need we say more?

If you needed any more confirmation that the two majors do not give a rats’ about the average Australian, let alone women, well this is it. Not even protecting yourself against harm in an emergency is a concern for them, while Malcolm Turnbull and co enjoy all the luxury of tax payer funded armed security.

This comes one week removed from Victoria Police’s “just use your phone” idiocy in their advice to Australian women.

The right to self-defence is the most basic human right of all, which everybody has the right to. The right, however, means absolutely nothing to most people when they do not have access to the practical means. If Police can carry these for self-defence then law abiding citizens should also have that option, otherwise the Police need to demonstrate they can bend the space-time continuum to be there on time, every time. I’ll take my money now.

Australia: A country that pays lip service to “gender equality” and wearing white ribbons to stop women’s lives being ruined by violence, but then threatens to ruin their lives with 14 years jail if they get caught carrying a pepper spray to prevent violence against them.

Stop voting Labor and Liberal.

how is giving women the means to protect themselves and being then able to call the cops to have the now incapacitated guy (or if given a gun having the POS guy taken to the morgue) arrested putting the blame on women? that greens POS senator needs a brain transplant. the only way that they could stop the crime is have 3 cops for every person and provide around the clock protection (and then who the hell is going to provide the protection for those cops when they are off duty). nope not one of their ideas work and in many places in the US where women have been encouraged to carry and have been provided training the crime rate against them has dropped dramatically. these politicians need hanging for their Treasonous Crimes Against ALL Australians

Firearm Owners United

Firearm Owners United was founded in response to the many hysterical voices crying out for further gun control in this country. We already go through so many hoops to get our firearms as it is. We do not need more hoops. We don’t need a mother/father figure deciding what’s the best for us. We are Law Abiding Firearm Owners, and we are sick of being treated like second-class citizens.
