Melbourne terror plot with full auto firearm “stopped” by Victoria Police

fouadmin November 28, 2017 News, Terrorism, Victoria, Victoria Police 3 Comments

Another day in the Nation of Victims™:

“A 20-year-old man charged with preparing to carry out a New Year’s Eve terror attack at Melbourne’s Federation Square has faced court.

Ali Khalif Shire Ali appeared briefly in the dock on Tuesday afternoon, charged with one count of preparing or planning a terrorist act and one of collecting a document that is connected to preparing for, or assisting in a terrorist attack.

Police allege Mr Ali planned to arm himself with an automatic rifle and shoot as many people as he could on December 31 at Federation Square. He faced Melbourne Magistrates Court, wearing the same check shirt and jeans he had on when he was arrested 24 hours earlier.

Mr Ali spent several minutes in the dock but did not say anything before he was led back into custody. At one point he nodded at his lawyer, and then nodded to magistrate Simon Zebrowski before he was led away.

He did not apply for bail.”

Why not? It’s Melbourne and bail is guaranteed.

Cynicism aside, some in the media were quick to bestow the usual praise on Australia’s “tough” gun laws but completely missed the fact that automatic firearms have been banned on the Australian mainland since the 1930’s, with Tasmania the only state which allowed you to possess them under a licence until 1996.

Although details are still sketchy about Ali’s plot and as to where exactly he was going to source the firearm from, this is just another chapter in the ongoing saga of Victoria’s crime epidemic. And as usual, Comrade Andrews’ government has no answer for it other than to use events like these as an excuse to take freedoms away.

Our firearm laws didn’t stop terrorist acts from Man Monis, Farad Jabbar, Yacqub Khyre and don’t stop the daily illegal firearm crime. It also didn’t stop criminal Rick Maddison acquiring a full automatic earlier in the year and gunning down Senior Constable Brett Forte in Queensland.

Ali’s arrest was a case of good police work and nothing to do with firearm laws.

It’s unfortunately become a case of when and not if we will have another mass casualty attack on Australian soil. And as usual, the public will be completely defenceless against it.

But according to Daniel Andrews, self-defence is just one of those “luxury” civil liberties that the Victorian public are forced to concede for security they can’t provide in the first place.

A far cry from what the Czech Government advises it’s citizens to do.

Please don’t call the right to self defence a “Civil Liberty”, it is a human right.

The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights

    Article 3.

Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

      Daniel Andrews’ views, not ours.

The U.N. has no legitimacy anyway.

Firearm Owners United

Firearm Owners United was founded in response to the many hysterical voices crying out for further gun control in this country. We already go through so many hoops to get our firearms as it is. We do not need more hoops. We don’t need a mother/father figure deciding what’s the best for us. We are Law Abiding Firearm Owners, and we are sick of being treated like second-class citizens.
